happy thanksgiving

Once more we come, Lord, to the day of special thanksgiving. Our thoughts are turned backward. The days have rolled into the seasons, the seasons into the year. Each day has been crowded with Thee. Each season has brought forth new proofs of Thy loving forethought. May we this day pledge Thee our gratitude anew. Continue, we pray Thee, to surround us with Thy care, in Jesus' name. Amen.

  1. Wishing a blessed and peaceful Thanksgiving to all : )

  2. Beautifully said, Virginia. Wishing you and others the very same!

  3. Happy thanksgiving to you Laura, I have a great one hope you did too.
    May God bless

  4. I hope you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  5. Oh Carla, It was wonderful in every way. A little writing, a little cooking and feasting, then a Christmas movie in the evening. And today is my son's 13th birthday:) I know you had one of those holiday/birthday weeks, too!

  6. Edna, So glad your day was blessed! Ours, too! God is so good!

  7. Lovely!

I wanted to let you know that I just purchased FRONTIERSMAN DAUGHTER from Amazon. Can't wait!

Also, as a side note, my mother-in-law's maiden name is Frantz. She is from Illinois.

  8. Britt,
Another reason for Thanksgiving - your buying my book! Thanks so very much for that. I hope it blesses you in some way and gives you that great reading escape:)

That's so interesting that your MIL's a Frantz. My husband's family was from Ohio. We were just looking over his family genealogy and saw they were originally Mennonites from Switzerland before coming to America in 1730. They settled in VA and PA and then moved west. It's kind of an unusual name. Neat to think they might be related even in a distant way.

Again, thanks for your gracious comments here. They've made my day:)
