blogaversary giveaway week!

This week there is a book party going on over at my friend, Renee's , wonderful blog. Authors Candace Calvert, Janet Dean, Cirella Seachrist, Julie Lessman, and myself are helping Renee celebrate her love of Christian fiction and the anniversary of her popular blog. Each day offers readers prizes and excerpts from new or upcoming books. I even managed to tantalize readers (I hope) with my first ever excerpt from Courting Morrow Little. Yes, really! Morrow has many suitors so I didn't reveal just who the mystery man in this particular scene is so you'll just have to wonder - or read the book...

On Thursday, Morrow's day, we'll be giving away a Crabtree & Evelyn gift set and also a signed copy of Courting Morrow Little once it's released. But there are lots of other prizes so I encourage you to go over and take part. You might just meet a new author and fall in love with another book:)

A book begins with falling in love. You lose your heart to a place, a house, an avenue of trees, or with a character who walks in and takes complete possession of you. Imagination glows, and there is the seed of your book. -Elizabeth Goudge

  2. THANK YOU, Ruth! That sure warms my heart this cold morning. It was hard picking an excerpt without giving "the man" away. And I realized the scene I chose was decidedly undialogue-driven which seems to be my style:) I sure hope you like Morrow. Am getting a bit skittish about her debut:)

  3. Oooooo!! I'm so bummed! I'll be out of town until Saturday night at a conference and probably won't have any computer time. I'll have to read it after the fact:( Looking forward to it though :)

  7. An excerpt from Courting Morrow Little?! Yay! Can't wait to read it!

When does the book acutally debut? I need to know so I can plan a timely giveaway on my blog. I'm trying to come up with some good, unique questions for you to answer, too. You probably get asked the same stuff a lot.

  10. Heather, I've been thinking about you and wondering how the exhibit went this weekend. At least I think it was this weekend - sometimees I get my dates mixed up:)

And I would oh so love to do a giveaway with you later on! If you like Morrow as much as Lael we will have to get our heads together:) Or we could give both Morrow and Lael away. Would you believe I am completely out of TFD?! I mailed my last copy out last week. Time to stock up again, I guess.

    Bless you bunches!

  11. Thanks so much, Linda. I'm going to have to investigate Elizabeth's books - she truly has such a way with words. Often I read her quotes and wish I'd thought of them myself:)

  14. Mary,
Morrow is on shelves July 1, or should be. I'm really looking forward to our time together in your bloggy neck of the woods! And I have no doubt whatsoever that your questions will be unique and interesting and inspiring simply because they are YOURS:)

p.s. hope you like the excerpt. It's heavy on the narrative but that just seems to be my trademark!
